Top 25 Hottest New Christmas Toys of 2016

A Hot Wheels racing play set, a Disney princess carriage,  a Hatchimal, and a Sky Viper drone are among Walmart’s top toy picks for the upcoming holiday shopping season.

From the smallest to the tallest, Walmart polled hundreds of kids to find out just what they will be including in their letters to Santa this year. Santa’s little elves came up with the 25 most appealing games and gizmos. They could be destined to become some of the season’s biggest sellers.

The top picks include a Num Noms Lip Gloss Truck, which may have particular appeal to budding makeup mavens, a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mega Lair Playset and a Disney Princess Carriage, one of six of the top 25 toys that are exclusive to Walmart. The Star Wars movie franchise makes any toy associated with them hot sellers. From the moment the franchise was conceived and brought to life on to the big screen, it found a home with audiences all over the world.

Some of the characters from the first released movies are at home in toy boxes or are on every child’s wish list and that’s also the case with the Star Wars Electronic R2D2. The character of R2D2 has always been a fan favorite and still is with each additional movie release.
